Good morning lovely, lovely readers!
Last night there was a huge storm brewing and the sound of the rain and thunder lulled me to sleep for… wait for it… TEN HOURS. I woke up feeling amazing! I had half of a Kashi Trail Mix bar at 9am when I awoke and slowly got myself ready for the gym. I love Thursdays because I don’t go into the office, just babysit the evil twins after school! At the gym I ran 1.5 miles on the treadmill and rode 5 miles on the bike, with some stretching and abs to round it all out. I was seriously a sweat factory. I used to think people who were so sweaty at the gym were gross, but now I think it is kind of like a workout badge of honor.
Then I drove home, dreaming of a smoothie in my amazing new tumbler from Starbucks (I got the Venti model, but couldn’t find it on the website). Yes it may be a bit pricey, but when I saw it while grabbing my smoothie the other day I knew I had to have it. I’ve been looking for a vessel in which to carry my smoothies around and this is perfect!
This baby contained:
- a handful of blackberries and sliced strawberries
- 1/2 cup light coconut milk
- 1 tbsp crunchy organic PB
- 4 ice cubes
I don’t usually use ice because I hate chunks of ice in a smoothie when it isn’t blended all the way, but I didn’t use a frozen banana so I needed something to keep it cool. And this smoothie was absolutely delicious
