As you can probably tell, I’ve switched some things up
I’ve purchased the domain for my blog and when “Sweat Every Day” was unavailable, I had to think about a new blog name or just re-working the web address.
Well I decided that I love the direction of my blog, but the idea of “Sweat Every Day” is something I’m realizing maybe isn’t what I’m all about. Yes, I have found a new love of exercise and running, but rest and a healthy balance are important. So I reflected on the direction I see my blog going in the future and now I want it to reflect the change I’ve made and those results, not just the “this is how I’m losing weight” tone it had before. I am still trying to lose weight (just see this morning’s post for evidence), but I want to concentrate more on the healthy changes I’ve made that have revolutionized my life.
So here we are, An Epic Change.
I’m already loving it! My current header is just temporary, my cousin is designing me an EPIC header to go along with my EPIC blog! And I have to give credit to Caitlin who uses the word “epic” more than any person I know and who suggested a blog title with “epic”.
So now that the epic change has been noted, here is a quick recap of today…
I sipped on some POM that the amazing folks at POM Wonderful sent me to review! I am going to be inventing a recipe later this week to feature POM, so any requests or suggestions for dishes are welcome!
At the office I enjoyed a yummy lunch. Looking at it makes it seem like a trend dieter’s best friend: celery and grapefruit. But I just love them!!!
I wasn’t due to report to nanny duty for 45 minutes later than usual, so I hit the gym between the office and the monsters. I did 50 minutes on the elliptical (interval training) and 25 minutes of strength training! It felt really good and I am looking forward to a potential run in the morning. After the gym (while babysitting), I had a Kashi bar, an apple, and a handful of Kashi crackers mixed with Goldfish.
For dinner all I wanted was breakfast. But I had to get some green in my diet so I munched on broccoli while cooking up sweet potato hash browns and an egg!
Twas delicious! This time I microwaved the sweet potato hunks for 2 minutes before throwing them into the pan with maple syrup and smoked paprika. This made them cook a whole lot faster — definitely something to remember.
Okay off to bed. I hope you enjoy the direction my blog is going. I’m very excited for what is in store!

im getting hungry
a common side effect, I suppose! thanks for reading.
First: love the new blog name. Run with it lady!
Secondly: I’m the same way with juices – I always add a TON of ice and shake the hell out of them to water them down! I will take a bottle of kombucha, put it in my nalgene 32oz water bottle, add a ridiculous amount of ice. I think it helps cut down on the tang just enough and gives me more to drink
first: thanks!!!!!
second: I think it has to do with having been a babysitter for so long and cutting the apple juice with water. plus juice is just so sugary and intense I need to cut it!
I wish I could say I felt the same way about kombucha. I am just way too addicted to dilute it….I’m on a bottle a day habit.
What flavor do you drink?
what is a good brand to try?? I had it once and was on the fence about it but now that it has been 6 months I’m ready to try it again. what is a good starter flavor?
Meredith, I only drink GT’s Kombucha…www.synergydrinks.com
I have been drinking it for 6+ years and I can’t say enough good things about it…I don’t really even consume caffeine anymore. I seriously drink a bottle a day and I got my roommate addicted too.
There are a lot of good flavors. I would recommend starting with guava, strawberry, raspberry, grape or superfruits.
My favorite flavor is called Trilogy but it’s a little more bitter.
Congrats on the new domain and name! Epic things are to be expected!
thanks evan!! your sweet potato hash is pretty epic in itself (which is why I am now obsessed with it).
Hahaha I love “diet food” too! I’m not even on a diet, but I love love love the tastes of raw vegetables, grapefruit, low fat cottage cheese, etc. etc. etc!
those diets are on to something
but seriously a big juicy grape fruit? how can that be bad!? the restaurant I had brunch at on Sunday has a grapefruit brulée — a grapefruit with sugar on top that has had a torch taken to it. I didn’t order it but I will recreate it!
