Good afternoon! I’ll make this quick since I need to run out the door again soon, but I have had an eventful day!
This morning I woke up to a call from my uncle where he spilled the beans on my graduation present: a trip to France. Yes, please allow that to sink in. As if I’m not traveling enough from now til June, let’s add on 2 weeks in Champagne country, shall we?? I’ll be heading over with my aunt to visit with her family who came to visit for Easter. I don’t have all the details yet, but let’s just say I’m so excited!! And when I get back, I’ll head straight to my summer job at a Spanish immersion academy. This will be a linguistic summer!
I ate a plain bagel (sans spread) and a banana this morning hoping to go for a run, but my knee was bothering me yesterday (randomly) and was kind of off today so I called it off, not wanting to injure myself.
After my exciting morning dreaming of France, my phone DIED. Like not just the battery, but it was just time for a new one. I’d been putting it off for far too long, so I finally went to Verizon and joined the 21st century with the purchase of a new Blackberry. Needless to say, I still don’t know how to use it, but I feel cooler already
I headed out to Maggiano’s for a bridal party luncheon with Tiffany (the bride), the bridal party (including me), and Tiffany’s mother, future mother-in-law, future grandmother-in-law, and the mother-in-law’s best friend (who organized). We started off the meal with a round of peach bellinis!
We got the family style meal, that was 5 courses (2 appetizers, 2 salads, 2 pastas, 2 entrées, and 2 desserts) that was served family style and shared amongst us all. There was the option of “free refills” on anything and they brought TWO of EACH dish to the table, and obviously there was a lot of leftovers sent home with the bride!
The bride was kind enough to make sure 1 vegetarian option was included in each course, so if you think I had a lot of variety, you should see what everyone else ate!
(Because there wasn’t enough food, we had to bring an extra dessert, the red velvet cake for Tiffany
)
Then there was time for numerous photos, but my dress made me look pregnant in all of them. Ugh. This is the only decent one.
Now I’m trying to figure out how to use my Blackberry (hopeless) and go out for dinner for a Richmond blogger meet up!!!!
