Packin’ up and movin’ out….
Well, not moving out. But you know what I’m saying. I’m a suitcase away from hitting the road to head up to my aunt & uncle’s historic farm for Easter. If you recall, I was there over a month ago and it was officially my last weekend eating meat (I had gone veg. shortly before but since my aunt had already planned the menu I was trying not to be a bother). Recap? Another? The eats at this house are always superb because my aunt is kind of an amazing chef. Well any hoo… my aunt’s French relatives are coming into town and I’ve met them before but haven’t seen them in a year. I also haven’t spoken French regularly since this past summer. Problem. I’m currently reviewing verb tenses and vocab but let’s be honest: my Spanish is SO much better, and probably my Portuguese too. I fail at French.
Oh and the French family… Yeah, they make CHAMPAGNE. As in own a vineyard and make champagne. So hopefully some will be partaken of this weekend!
To start of my weekend, I had an epic yogurt bowl this morning.
Now I need to finish up my packing and hit the road! I’m picking up Tiffany’s wedding dress (!!!!) on the way and meeting her in Richmond to drop it off and I’m hoping we’re going to go to a restaurant I’ve seen on that “Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives” show that I never actually made it to in my 3.5 years I lived in Richmond.
