places to be

I just got home from work and got a call from Mona that they finally got Sophie another vet appointment (she is really sick today) so I’m turning right back around and dropping her off at the vet with Mona. I’m taking advantage of the turn-around by changing into my gym stuff, running a few errands, then heading straight to the Y to get some lifting in before spinning.
Work was nice again, I had another task to keep me busy all afternoon! This morning I got to take Sophie downstairs to another attorney’s office that has a labradoodle named Hershey! Apparently they’re best friends and I watched them play for a good 20 minutes before heading back to work.
Lunch:
1 Thomas’s Better Start English muffin
1 Babybel light cheese round
1 big salad (still using up leftovers… romaine, red pepper, tomato)
2 tbsp hummus (as a salad dressing)
1 cup grapes
I also snacked on a clementine during the morning and a Fiber One bar before I went home!

HOT

I am having hot flashes today. I wanted to dry my hair but that is not happening, and then I was standing in my room under the vent by accident and kept getting hit with hot air! Now I just devoured my hot oats and I’m sweating. What gives??

No gym this morning because I have spin tonight!!! I wanted to run outdoors tomorrow morning but then realized Friday is the day I weigh-in and I want to use the same scale I’ve been using since I got here (the one at the gym). So I guess I’ll have to push myself on the treadmill and save a run for another time. Maybe Saturday afternoon depending on my schedule….
Made some oats this morning (true, true love). I was having a craving for oatmeal raisin cookies, so I threw in some raisins and cinnamon to my oats while they cooked. I also had the usual banana in there, getting all soft and mushy! I need to go pack my lunch and head out with the puppy soon… but I get easily distracted.
Breakfast:
1/2 cup (uncooked) old fashioned oats
1 banana
1 tbsp raisins
cinnamon
I’ve never discussed this before, but just FYI: I make my oats with water and not milk. I don’t really enjoy milk and I prefer thicker oats, so if I want the creamy taste of the milk but not the texture, I stir in yogurt after the oats are cooked

mayjah cravings

I’m having some major muchines today!!! This afternoon after my cat nap all I did was crave salty & sweet. I ended up smearing some reduced fat, natural peanut butter on a WW cookie (so not terrible) and now after dinner I’m having a sweet craving AGAIN and just ate a WW ice cream cone. Also not terrible. I could have eaten a bag of Doritos or something, right?
Dinner was pure laziness, but no one was in the mood for anything fancy. I heated up a Smart Ones frozen dinner, Santa Fe Chicken. It was mostly veggies with some black beans and a bit of chicken. And it wasn’t nearly as salty as I figured it would be! I paired that with an apple sprinkled with cinnamon. I ate a light dinner to appease the snacking that took place beforehand and would inherently ensue. Case and point: now. My appetite was out of control today! I think it was because I hadn’t run since Saturday’s race and I ran again today? Maybe I just needed to get used to it again.
I’m early gymming tomorrow and trying to decide if I want to swim or do the elliptical and work on breaking in my new shoes. Tough decisions!
Dinner:
1 honey crisp apple
cinnamon
1 Smart Ones Santa Fe Chicken
